Mission

The mission of San Andreas Fire & EMS is to protect life, property, and the environment through professional emergency medical services, fire suppression, rescue operations, prevention, and public-safety response.

The department is committed to providing prompt, compassionate, and competent service to every resident and visitor of San Andreas. Members are expected to perform their duties with integrity, teamwork, sound judgment, accountability, and respect for the communities they serve.

Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Meet all community membership and department eligibility requirements.
  • Maintain a working microphone with clear, understandable audio.
  • Create and maintain a believable character appropriate for Fire & EMS service.
  • Demonstrate maturity, professionalism, integrity, teamwork, and sound judgment.
  • Communicate effectively with civilians, Dispatch, Law Enforcement, and fellow Fire & EMS personnel.
  • Follow all community rules, department policies, procedures, protocols, and chain-of-command expectations.
  • Be willing to learn emergency medical care, fireground operations, rescue procedures, radio communications, apparatus operations, and department procedures.
  • Remain calm and communicate effectively during high-stress or complex incidents.
  • Work effectively as part of a coordinated crew and follow assigned incident-command responsibilities.
  • Provide patient-centered care and treat all patients with dignity, professionalism, and respect.
  • Operate only within the approved scope of practice for their certification level.
  • Properly separate in-character and out-of-character knowledge.
  • Maintain confidentiality and safeguard restricted department and patient information.
  • Complete the required application, interview, academy, certification, and field-training process.
  • Accept instruction, coaching, and constructive feedback from training and supervisory personnel.
  • Maintain reasonable activity and communicate extended periods of absence.

Previous Fire/EMS, medical, firefighting, or FiveM experience is helpful but not required. San Andreas Fire & EMS provides training to applicants who demonstrate maturity, teamwork, a willingness to learn, and the ability to meet department standards.

  1. 1
    Fire Chief
    Leads SAFEMS and oversees department policy, operations, staffing, training, standards, and long-term development.
  2. 2
    Deputy Fire Chief
    Assists the Fire Chief with department administration and assumes executive authority when the Fire Chief is unavailable.
  3. 3
    Assistant Fire Chief
    Supports executive operations, coordinates command staff, and oversees assigned operational, training, or administrative functions.
  4. 4
    Battalion Chief
    Provides senior operational command, supervises multiple companies or stations, and coordinates major or complex incidents.
  5. 5
    Captain
    Commands assigned companies or stations, supervises personnel, manages daily operations, and serves as an incident commander when appropriate.
  6. 6
    Lieutenant
    Provides company-level supervision, supports training and readiness, and assists with scene management and day-to-day operations.
  7. 7
    Engineer
    Serves as an experienced apparatus operator responsible for safe vehicle operation, pump operations, equipment readiness, and assisting with company leadership.
  8. 8
    Firefighter/EMT-P
    Provides advanced life support and firefighting services, performs paramedic-level assessment and treatment, and supports rescue and emergency operations.

    Firefighter/EMT-A
    Provides intermediate-level emergency medical care, firefighting, rescue, and patient treatment within the EMT-A scope of practice.
  10. 10
    Firefighter/EMT-B
    Provides basic life support, firefighting, rescue, patient assessment, and emergency care within the EMT-B scope of practice.
  11. 11
    Probationary Firefighter
    Entry-level member completing academy and field training while developing competency in firefighting, EMS, rescue, equipment, and department procedures.

What to Expect

Joining San Andreas Fire & EMS means becoming part of a team responsible for emergency medical care, fire suppression, rescue operations, and public-safety response throughout San Andreas.

Members are expected to work as part of a coordinated crew, communicate clearly, remain calm under pressure, and contribute to believable, professional emergency-services roleplay.

Successful applicants will complete department orientation and training before progressing into independent operational duties. Training may include fireground operations, emergency medical care, radio communications, apparatus and equipment use, rescue operations, incident command, patient documentation, and department procedures.

SAFEMS values teamwork, sound judgment, patient-centered care, and quality roleplay over speed or spectacle. Members are expected to approach every incident with professionalism and create meaningful scenes for civilians and fellow responders.

Promotion is based on demonstrated competency, professionalism, activity, leadership, training progress, and continued development — not simply time in rank.

Previous Fire/EMS or FiveM experience is helpful but not required. Department training is provided to members who demonstrate maturity, willingness to learn, and the ability to meet department standards.
